Summary: I presented this sermon to my preaching lab 3 class this afternoon. My assigned topic is “brotherly love,” and the text I chose is Romans 12:10.

Feedback
As a student who is very much still learning how to preach, I’d love your feedback. If you listen, I’d like to know:
- What do you think is the “big idea” of the sermon?
- Was the sermon easy to follow, or did I fail to keep your attention?
- Did the sermon lead you to consider your relationship to Christ and His Gospel?
- Did you come away with a clear sense of how to respond in obedience?

It is about time we listened to your sermon, isn’t it?
I hate to admit that hockey playoffs have gotten in the way of listening to godly preaching.
Now that the finals are set, there are far fewer games.
Plus, I figured I better know what we’re talking about if this weekend we discussed brotherly love.
Chris and I think you did a great job. Of course, we are a little biased, but we appreciate your clarity and sincerity.
This is an area where we all fall short (brotherly love). We are just too selfish. This is something that our pastor has been burdened with when he gave his annual charge to the church. This is the one area where he felt the greatest burden.
I think it is just symptomatic of the church in America.
In our few experiences overseas, this is not the case. For example, Jon’s church in Kyiv is much more in tune with Paul’s admonition.
Anytime we hear good preaching, we feel convicted, and you did your job. I need to love my wife more and then the rest will follow.
Thanks, Laurence, for being a great brother and son.
Dover enjoyed hearing your voice and he can’t wait to see you and Emily and Joshua in person.
Love, Bill
